| Anna Maria Island Preservation Trust is a 501c3 non-profit actively engaged in attempting to save the Angler's Lodge.
We are in negotiations with the City of Anna Maria to find a site suitable for this 1913 historic bungelow formerly named "Thelma by the Sea" when it was built in 1913 by Mr. & Mrs. J. R. Woods of Ellenton. Mrs. Woods sold the property after WWII when the original dormer was converted into a beautiful six-gabled second floor. It has five bedrooms and two baths on the second floor, with two bedrooms and bath on the first floor along with a large front porch, Living room, dining room and modern kitchen. AMIPT is hoping the City would like to use it for offices along with other non-profits, and to use the first floor for an Adult Resource and Friendship meeting house for small groups.
