Dan Gagne comes from a family of builders. His grandfather was a builder and his three uncles are all builders. Dan started working for a builder while still in high school, getting hands on experience in most phases of construction. He continued working as a carpenter when he moved to Bradenton from Massachusetts in 1989. That led to supervising and project managing positions for both residential and commercial projects.

In 2001 Gagne Construction opened its doors. Gagne Construction is a design and build firm specializing in new custom homes, additions, home and condo renovations, and commercial projects. Dan’s years of experience working with the state and local requirements for building on the Islands enables him to guide clients through the entire design, permitting and construction process. Through the years he has become expert at designing and building to meet DEP coastal control zone requirements as well as FEMA 50% rule requirements.

Gagne Construction takes great pride in the renovation of the 1935 cottage in which their offices reside on Pine Avenue. They took a dilapidated beach cottage and renovated it in character. The attention to detail in the charming office space makes you feel like you’re inside someone’s home rather than their place of business! The cottage, which now functions as a working design showroom as a whole, also has a bright, cheerful room set aside where you can browse various samples of many different products to complete those “finishing touch” details of your project.
